Regulatory tracking — June 2019
Staying ahead of new regulations can be challenging. Regulators expect firms to identify and react to all the emerging regulatory changes that affect them.
To help stay ahead of the curve, VinciWorks has published a regulatory agenda with an overview of recent regulatory changes and a regulatory horizon with topics on the legislative agenda.

DAC6 Core Group meeting summary
DAC6 is a European regulation aimed at reducing international tax evasion and promoting transparency. DAC6 requires lawyers, accountants, tax advisers, bankers and other “intermediaries” to report some aggressive cross-border tax arrangements.
VinciWorks recently hosted a roundtable meeting with representatives from over 20 firms to discuss DAC6 and its implementation, facilitated by Director of Best Practice Gary Yantin and subject matter expert Ruth Cohen. Some of the key questions covered included:
- Who is responsible for submitting initial DAC6 data if a transaction may be reportable?
- When should a transaction be reviewed for DAC6 relevance?
- How are firms informing clients who are potentially affected by DAC6 and its implications?
- Is DAC6 a tax or a compliance matter?
