Infocredit Group is delighted to announce that it will be organising The Corporate Governance Conference, powered by the company’s strategic partner, ICSA: The Governance Institute. The conference will take place on Friday, 5th of May at the Hilton Cyprus.

 

The aim of the conference is to identify and examine international and local developments relating to Corporate Governance and how these developments affect Cyprus. The conference will bring together local and international professionals that will assess the current status along with the future prospects of the Cyprus business sector.

 

The event will host high profile speakers from Cyprus and abroad who will discuss the significance of Corporate Governance within an organisation, best practices, business ethics and how to build a culture of Compliance.

Keynote Speakers:

 

Simon Osborne - CEO at ICSA

 

Simon is Chief Executive and a Fellow of ICSA, as well as being a solicitor. He brings first-hand knowledge and understanding of the practical and personal aspects of the operation of boards and how to identify performance improvements. Until April 2003, Simon's career was in the British railway industry as general counsel, company secretary and latterly a main board executive director. From January 2005 until October 2011 (when he became Chief Executive of ICSA), Simon chaired ICSA's Company Secretaries Forum, which comprises mainly company secretaries from FTSE 250 companies. He is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network, serving on the Business Ethics and (as chair) the Bylaws & Procedures Committees.

 

Daniel Wager - Vice President, Financial Crime Compliance Global Market Strategy, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, EMEA

 

Daniel Wager is a Vice President with Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions (LNRS), focused on Financial Crime Compliance global market strategy. In this role, he works to deliver best in class solutions to customers, specializing in anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption and economic sanctions compliance. Daniel brings nearly two decades of multi-sector experience in investigations, compliance and enforcement and is internationally recognized for his expertise. He has extensive experience in the investigation and prevention of a broad range of financial crime including money laundering, fraud, terrorist finance, public corruption, labor racketeering, export control violations, sanctions violations, bribery, cybercrime and kleptocracy. His experience also includes designing due diligence and enhanced due diligence measures for institutions and corporations to efficiently mitigate risk. He is a respected banking compliance professional in regulator and court-appointed monitor interactions and is a United States District Court certified expert in the Bank Secrecy Act and money laundering. Prior to joining LNRS, Daniel led a regulatory compliance consulting practice focused on the alternative investment management space. Prior to that he was a Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Anti-Money Laundering Investigations at HSBC. In this role, he led the overhaul of investigative functions and processes, managed regulator and court-appointed monitor relationships, and oversaw investigations of money laundering, proliferation, terrorist financing and sanctions violations. Daniel also previously served as the Global Head of Enhanced Due Diligence at TD Bank Group. Prior to banking, he served as a supervisory special agent at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he supervised human smuggling and trafficking squads and later served for three years as the director of the NY High Intensity Financial Crime Area (HIFCA). Prior to DHS, Daniel served as a special agent at the U.S. Treasury Department and with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Labor Racketeering and Fraud Investigations. Daniel is a U.S. Army veteran with combat service in Panama, Kuwait and Iraq.
