Health and safety — Take our interactive assessment of your workstation
Using display screen equipment (DSE) such as PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones for extended periods or using them incorrectly can result in fatigue, eye strain, upper limb problems, back and neck problems, repetitive strain injury, stress, headaches and more. VinciWorks has created a short interactive assessment to give you an understanding of improvements you can make to your workstation to make it better for you from a health and safety perspective.

DAC6 reporting requirements — DAC6 flow chart
Back in May 2018, the Economic and Financial Affairs Council of the European Union (ECOFIN) adopted the 6th Directive on Administrative Cooperation (“DAC6 Directive”). This new directive requires tax intermediaries to report specific cross-border arrangements. The aim of DAC6 is to tackle tax avoidance and evasion, strengthen tax transparency and improve information sharing between EU Member States.
VinciWorks has created a DAC6 flow chart to help you determine whether your transaction may be reportable. You can use this flow chart as a decision-making tool in your day-to-day work.

Health and safety training — What are the requirements?
The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 requires all businesses in the UK to provide whatever information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of employees. Some of the responsibilities include induction training, training specific to staff changing roles, refresher training and more.

How will the Fifth Directive affect enhanced due diligence?
The Fifth Money Laundering Directive is set to be transposed into national law by 10 January 2020. One of the key changes to money laundering regulations that the Fifth Directive will bring is that Member States will have to implement enhanced due diligence (EDD) measures to monitor suspicious transactions involving high-risk countries.
