Infocredit Group is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the certification for Information Security Management (ISO/IEC 27001:2013) by the Cyprus Certification Company and currently holds a total of three ISO certifications. The company was the first in Cyprus to receive the ISO 9001:2015 certification and subsequently successfully acquired the ISO 22301:2013 certification. At an age of rapid advancement in technology, information rests in the forefront and the extent of its distribution is a crucial concern faced by many organisations today. The receipt of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification demonstrates Infocredit Group’s firm commitment to maintaining Information Security Management Systems and ensuring that information security remains at the centre of its business processes. It also shows the company’s responsibility to set procedures for maintaining data confidentiality, integrity and availability. The widely accepted and globally recognised security standard “specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization.” By applying the requirements of the standard, the company ensures that it protects data as well as personal information on its employees and clients and complies with the relevant laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018.
